I just had to post this. This could possibly be the very performance that got me interested in Irish music and eventually lead to me getting an accordion. From 1987 this is The Pogues & The Dubliners performing 'The Irish Rover'.

This is a brilliant but all too short clip of the Buíon Cheoil Learphoil Céilí Band in full flow playing "Na Geataí Glasuaine" (The Green Gates) and "Cathaoir an Iarla" (The Earl's Chair). I've played quite a few ceilis in my time, but the speed these people are playing is incredible.
