The accordion wasn't ever hugely successful in country and western, but it did have a role to play.

Burt Bacharach's Piano For Auction

It's amazing what turns up on Ebay...

This is Burt Bacharach's Steinway which he bought in 1949 and wrote many great songs on.
Bidding is currently at $20,000 (£11,462).

Piano Man Video

I had never heard the song Piano Man by Billy Joel until I came across this video on YouTube. I wasn't expecting much (he did after all give us Uptown Girl !), but actually found this to be a great track, that features harmonica and accordion as well as the piano.

Eko Electric Piano

This is a portable electric piano from the 1970s. Manufactured by EKO of Italy. It has four modes - piano, honky tonk, harpsichord and full mix. It apparently sounds quite horrible, but sold for £51 on Ebay.

Astor Piazzola Video

When it comes to bandoneon players there is one player who is pre-eminent - Astor Piazzola.

This video is of one of his most wonderful compositions 'Adios Nonino', which I believe was written as a tribute to his father.
