Check out this fabulous Hohner Multimonica !
It's a dual keyboard and the bottom half is a wind blown harmonium whilst the top half is an early synthesiser. They first came on the market in the 1940s, which in itself I find remarkable given that that would have either been during the 2nd world war or in the aftermath (Hohner is a German company).
It seems to have been invented by Harold Bode who also invented the Clavioline which I've previously featured, as well as a number of other instruments which no doubt I'll write about one day.
This particular one was for sale at Musurgia.com but it seems to be on hold for someone. Pity, because I would love one of these.

Hello
I have a Hohner Multimonica, but it's a type 1, not a type 2. It's still working, it only needs some contact-cleaning because I didn't use it for a while. I sell it or I will reuse the tube-circuit to make a guitar-amp.
Regards,
Joost

I have a Hohner Multimonica type 1 I would assume. I don't know much about it. Are these things worth anything? It is in great condition.

Yes Chris, I'm sure these are worth something - I've no idea what though.
Personally I've never heard one, but they look fabulous.

I have a Hohner Multimonica type 1 with it's original hard case. It works great. My great grandfather hand carried it back from germany. I would like to sell it if there is anyone interested. My email is [email protected]. Thank you. I do have pictures if you would like to see.

Dear Sir,
I have a Multimonica II (after Second World War) to sell, in working order, but not serviced since 1949, so it needs service on electrical contacts, electronic amplifiers...to work as new.
Location Rhine valley, Alsace, France.
Please make offer between 500 and 800 euros.
There is no carrying case. A little vertical black part of 5 cms around the right upper front knobs, is missing, i think easy to replace.
Thank you for your interest
Sunny regards from France
