Che Guevara & Chipi Chipi

Have you seen the movie 'The Motorcycle Diaries' ? If you've ever wondered who Che Guevara was then I'd recommend it. It shows Che and friend Ernesto on a journey through South America during 1951-2. My favourite part of the film is when they at a party where the song 'Chipi Chipi' is being performed. It's one of those songs that has got lodged in my head, forcing me to seek it out and purchase a copy of the soundtrack. Here is the clip from the film itself.

I also found this wonderful version by a band called Los Gofiones who seem quite unique.

Illegales - Mi Novia Me Va A Matar

I bought an Illegales CD a couple of years ago in Washington DC - it's got some great upbeat tracks on it in between the boy-band power ballads. This song, for example.
