Catchy, catchy summer ska from Japan !

I can't be bothered to describe the sound that Japanese band Plus-Tech Squeeze Box make - it would take too long. Instead watch this fan-made video for their classic 'Dough-nuts Town's map'.
Sorry for the lack of updates recently, I think someone has circuit bent my broadband access. Maybe Tucker, seen here playing with his combo organ. Looks like a Yamaha to me.
This is a cleverly put together video for Ray Charles' Shake a Tail Feather, from the Blues Brothers, using Japanese animé cartoons. It's also a great example of Wurlitzer electric piano.
Here are a bunch of bands who I think have been inspired by the Pogues.
First up Black 47 (unfortunately the video cuts out early)
Next we have Flogging Molly - who probably come closest to catching some of the subtlety of the Pogues (except in this song)
The Pogues influence has spread far and wide. This is The Cherry Coke$ from Japan.
Another great band from the US - Dropkick Murphys.
Hmmmm. Kilts and tam o'shanters' The Real McKenzies must be from Canada.
and we shouldn't forget The Pogues themselves.
