Forro Mashups
Here's an interesting new thing I've recently come across. There seems to be a growing fad for creating forro mash-ups of modern pop songs. A cursory look at YouTube reveals songs by Britney, Rihanna, Akon even Guns & Roses get the treatment!
Most of them are fairly terrible, but some are brilliant. My favourite is this mash-up of Gnarls Barkely's Crazy. I'd love a high quality MP3 of this.
Also quite nice is this version of Sean Kingston's 'Beautiful Girls'.
As a footnote, this forro version of the Yves LaRock's house music anthem 'Rise Up' is rather good too. An MP3 of this would be great, but all I can find are the original mixes.
